At least six people were witnesses to the attempted theft of a perfume at the Fiumicino duty free by Piero Fassino. This is what emerges from the investigations, with videos and information sent to the prosecutors of Civitavecchia by Polaria who will now try to clarify the position of the former minister and mayor of Turin.
The six witnesses against Fassino
According to what emerges, in fact, six witnesses clearly described Fassino’s attempted theft of the Chance Chanel bottle. Six people whose words are similar to each other, versions That they would confirm what happened.
Words that put the former Minister of Justice with his back against the wall, with the “perfume case” which could soon lead him to be included in the register of suspects.

The six specifically say they saw Fassino put perfume in his jacket pocket and then be stopped by vigilantes who, according to what emerged, were following the former minister.

And according to what was told by Courier and from The Republic, Fassino was under special observation inside the Fiumicino duty free shop, because previously there would have been cases that had raised the alarm bells.
That of April 15, in fact, would be the last case of attempted theft by the former mayor of Turin. The dem deputy would have ventured among the shelves of the airport already for the first time in recent weeks while waiting for a flight to Strasbourg and even then he would have taken a perfume by passing beyond the perimeter of the checkouts without paying.

The position of the former minister and the defense
The video images filed, however, would leave little doubt, because they would film Fassino while he slipped the bottle into his jacket pocket. And his hands, contrary to what was initially stated, do not seem busy.
The deputy justified himself by crediting the version of the cell phone ringing and being confused: “Not having three hands yetI simply placed the perfume package in my jacket pocket, waiting to go to the checkout.”
A temporary solution with the intention of paying for the product regularly, but then it was suddenly stopped by security.
The Fassino defense, held by the lawyer Nicola Gianaria, could offer a reinterpretation of the case in the future.
