The technicians of the Bat Province are evaluating the proposal put forward by the Municipality of Andria, that is, to make the direct access road to Montegrosso ‘secondary extra-urban’. Hypothesis that would allow the presence of the roundabout, legitimized by the absence of coplanar roads. Certainly this is an analysis that should also be submitted to the Puglia Region. These are the new developments regarding the roundabout on the SP231 between Andria and Canosa di Puglia, a work which is scheduled to be removed on May 7th.
According to the first citizen, who spoke on the subject yesterday in the City Council, responding to the question posed by councilor Andrea Barchetta, downgrading is the most easily practicable path.
«Probably another president of the Province or a different manager would have overlooked this affair that they inherited – explained the mayor, Giovanna Bruno -. It is a unanimous will to find a solution and remedy what has been done in the past.”
«The Montegrosso village cannot be left out – he added –, especially considering the fact that those works that have been carried out are not complete and complete, there should have been a further project that should have also allowed the construction of the coplanar roads».
«We are on the eve of the removal of the roundabout which technically is an operation that cannot be postponed in order to be able to test the work because that construction site needs to be closed by design and then obviously the province must classify the road. We are working – he continued – on the hypothesis offered by the Municipality, which must also pass through evaluations to be brought to the attention of the Region”.
«The hypothesis of improving the stretch of road in the old Minervino was also taken into consideration, which however does not solve everyone’s problem. This – he concluded – is one of the reasons that leads me to say that there is truly the conviction of finding a solution”.
