Milan, 28 March. (askanews) – A law has just been approved by Parliament to support young people who want to create agricultural businesses. The structural reform which allocates 156 million euros from 2024 to 2029 and 27.76 million per year from 2030 was presented in Rome, at the Enpaia headquarters, by its first signatory, the President of the Agriculture Commission of the Chamber of Deputies Mirco Carloni, together with the President of the Enpaia Foundation Giorgio Piazza. “We wanted to give two signals: the first is that being a farmer up to 40 years of age is an important choice that the State, Parliament not only approves, but stimulates in every way, and also wanting to bring rural culture back to the center of social and political debate. Ensuring that financial intermediaries also seize the opportunity to give trust, to entrust young farmers with banking as is done with many other companies”. Among the measures provided for by the law for young entrepreneurs there are concessions regarding the tax regime, purchase and sale of rural land, tax concessions for the expansion of cultivated areas and the granting of a contribution, in the form of a tax credit, for young agricultural entrepreneurs who started their business from 1 January 2021. “Above all, what I take away from the promulgation of this rule is the possibility of introducing even more young people into our sector, especially the female part, which is over 40% now, because they are able to bring innovation. Great innovation, recovery of tradition and identity, but above all innovation, which will be the fundamental tool for a very competitive agriculture, capable of exploring the markets. And I challenge anyone to keep up with us “.
