Club Faenza, the goal is salvation

The national men’s B2 series championship begins on Sunday, in which the Tennis Club Faenza participates by virtue of the promotion obtained last year. This year the Faenza team has decided to include two foreigners who will be the expert 32-year-old Croatian Matej Sabanov, a good singles player but above all an excellent doubles player (he was among the top hundred in the world), and the 20-year-old German Philip Florig. The two can only be deployed alternately, given that only one non-Italian player can be used. The Faenza team also consists of Edoardo Pompei, Mattia Bandini, Romeo Falconi, Andrea Bosi, Leonardo Fabbri and Giacomo Botticelli.

In its group the Tennis Club Faenza, which will aim for direct salvation, will compete with three teams from Emilia Romagna (Villa Carpena Forlì, Castellazzo Parma and Meridiana Modena) and three from outside the region (Tc Pavia, Cus Genova and Next Gen Carrara). The first phase will end on June 16th then there will be the playoffs and playouts. Sunday 28 April: Castellazzo Parma – Faenza. Sunday 5 May: Faenza – Villa Carpena Forlì. Sunday 19 May: Club La Meridiana – Faenza. Sunday 26 May: Faenza – Tennis Club Pavia. Sunday 2 June: Cus Genoa – Faenza. Sunday 16 June: Faenza – Junior Club Next Gen Marina di Carrara.
