Insulting phrases against a health worker from the S. Croce hospital in Cuneo, sanctioned by the police

The patient, who arrived at the hospital by ambulance, will have to pay a thousand euros in administrative fine within 60 days for having made widely abusive remarks towards the operator who was assisting him.

The place of State Police at the hospital facility Santa Croce and Carle di Cuneo, in application of the art. 9 of Law 113/2020, introduced to protect healthcare personnel who are victims of violent, harassing or abusive conduct, unless the fact constitutes a crime, administratively sanctioned an Italian citizen who, having arrived at the emergency room in the ambulance in recent days, he uttered seriously abusive phrases towards the doctor who was assisting him. The administrative sanction paid of 1,000 eurosmust be paid within 60 days.

On the part of the Police Headquarters, the importance of the supervision of the Police Post at the Hospital is underlined, the activity of which has been further implemented precisely in order to protect healthcare personnel in the exercise of their functions, who are often victims of attacks minutes, as in the case ascertained above. Such conduct, which can be sanctioned administratively and criminally, if the conditions are met, is particularly serious, as they also affect the operations of the emergency room and healthcare personneltaking away and delaying important resources from the emergency health service.
