VENICE – In just over a week, Saturday 6 April, Venice is preparing to welcome the CMP Venice Night Trailthe spectacular nocturnal urban trail organized by Venicemarathonand that with his 16K, 51 bridgesAnd 5,000 athletes (registrations closed due to being sold out for over a month) will create a fascinating choreography of moving lights, which will illuminate the streets and squares of the historic center of one of the most beautiful cities in the world.

L’ 8th CMP Venice Night Trail isorganized by Venicemarathon with the fundamental support and patronage of the Municipal Administration of Venice and the Port System Authority of the Northern Adriatic Sea and with the precious collaboration of the police forces and city institutions.

Departure and route Venice Night Trail

The race is scheduled to start at 9pm from the Port of Venice, more precisely from Cruise Terminal 123 where, thanks to the collaboration with Venezia Terminal Passeggeri, the CMP Villagewith all pre and post race services and where athletes can easily leave their car a few meters from the start and finish line.

Two starts are scheduled: the first reserved for the competitive race and the second for the non-competitive one.

The path it will wind along the port area and then enter Piazzale Roma via the small bridge located under the People Mover. From here the route will continue towards the first passage on the Grand Canal across the Calatrava Bridge and will enter the most typical areas, reaching the gardens of the Biennialand then go back up to St. Mark’s Square. The race will continue towards the La Fenice Theater and then cross the Grand Canal on Accademia Bridge and go as far as Punta della Dogana. We will then travel through the Zattere foundations up to San Basilio, along the Giudecca Canal, to then cross the port area and take the final straight and reach the finish line at the end of Terminal 123. Despite being signposted and manned, the route will not be closed to pedestrian traffic, therefore athletes must be careful and respect the highway code.

The refreshments points of the Venice Night Trail

Beyond 300 volunteersthey will be located along the route and recognizable thanks to LED shovels, fluorescent vests supplied by CMP, luminous balloons and will also ensure that the athletes throw waste in the appropriate containers and not along the route, thus avoiding the risk of dirtying the city. ?

Approximately halfway through the race, a booth will be set up refreshment point with water Saint Benedictproducts Pro Action and biscuits Palmisano. Numerous public fountains, located along the race route, will help the athletes to refresh themselves during the race.

Night Party and Pasta Party

Once the race is over, the Venice Night Party! Athletes will be able to recover all their energy with the Pasta Partythanks to the collaboration with pasta factory Sgambaro which will serve the excellence of its Etichetta Gialla pasta and thanks to Bavaria beer.
