What happened
He was called Sabrina Peckhamwas 41 years old, and was part of the homeless community of Florida, the victim’s daughter told Dailymail. The facts date back to September and the video of the killing of the alligator was only published in June, shocking the community.
The woman had been alerted by the local police who advised her several times not to venture into the swamp, due to several attacks by alligators in the past. But the 41-year-old never paid much attention to the words of the police, continuing to walk in the area. Until, one day in September, she was attacked and killed by an alligator.
The rescue
When some tourists saw the animal enter the river waters again with a foot in its mouth, they immediately alerted the emergency services. The police arrived on site, followed by volunteers from the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission. They managed to kill the animal and then extract the woman’s body from her womb. Everything was filmed by Fox cameras, which published the footage. The daughter, Breauana Dorris wanted to remember his mother with a post published on Facebook: «God called you before our hearts were ready to lose you. Hi mom, no one deserves to die like this.”
