A huge fire exploded in a South Korean factory lithium batteries caused the death of 22 people, many of them foreign, but the searches in the plant, completely destroyed by flames, continue. When the fire broke out there were more than 100 workers working in the factory in the city of Hwaseongjust south of the capital Seoul.

The workers heard a series of explosions come from the second floor, where the lithium ion batteries come from inspect and packaged, a fire fighters. It is estimated that approximately 35,000 cells of batteries on the second floor and others in other areas. Lithium batteries burn quickly and are difficult to control with conventional extinguishing methods.

As reported by the news agency Yonhap78 people were rescued, but many more remain dispersed. Among the 22 victims there are twenty foreigners, including “18 Chinesea citizen of Laos and one of unknown nationality,” the official told the media Kim Jin Youngadding that the bodies were badly burned and complete identification of victims will take time.
