The seasonal cycle of Verissimo ended last Sunday, with the airing of the last seasonal episode, but Silvia Toffanin will continue to keep Canale 5 viewers company on weekend afternoons for a few more weeks. From today, Saturday 1 June, it starts Very True The Storiesthe ‘best of’ edition of the program loved by the Mediaset public for its ability to tell life stories of VIPs with depth and sensitivity, alternating exclusive interviews with personalities from the world of entertainment, culture and sport. Here’s what today’s episode features.
Previews and guests of Verissimo – Le Storie
On Saturday’s episode, Very True The Stories promises to provide intense emotions with a series of interviews that range from the past to the present. Among the most anticipated guests is Francesco Arca, who will share touching moments from his personal life and professional. Born in Siena in 1979, Arca became known to the general public thanks to his participation in Men and women of Maria De Filippi, where he held the role of tronista. Today, he is a fulfilled man, married to Irene Capuano and father of two children, Maria Sole and Brando Maria. His interview with Verissimo was a journey through the successes and challenges of his career, as well as a tribute to his family and his evolution as a person, but above all he touched on the painful topic of the death of his father Silvano, who passed away in 1995, when Francesco Arca was 16 years old: “He went out early in the morning to go hunting and never returned,” the actor said, with teary eyes, to Silvia Toffanin. The man, a military paratrooper, was shot to death during a hunting accident whose details have never been clarified. “In my opinion they told us a version close to the truth. There are many inconsistencies that came to light later”, added Arca, alluding to the investigations carried out after the accident. “Now my heart is calm and I am ready to forgive in exchange for a pinch of truth”, the actor’s words pronounced in front of a very moved Silvia Toffanin.
Another highlight of the episode will be the interview with Elisabetta Gregoraci, a charismatic and beloved figure on Italian television. Born in 1980, Gregoraci began her career as a model and then established herself as an actress and television presenter. About her Her participation in the Big Brother VIP in 2020 he further consolidated his status as a star of the small screen. During the interview, Gregoraci will talk about her role as a mother with Nathan Falco, born from her relationship with Flavio Briatore, and her ability to balance her career and family life. Her story is an example of determination and resilience, characteristics that have contributed to making her such an admired figure.
The other guests of the episode
Among the other guests of the episode there will also be Melissa Satta, one of the most famous and recognizable models in Italy. Satta will talk about her professional and personal experiences, offering a sincere look at her life behind the scenes, but there will be several passages linked to her (tormented) love life and her breakup with the tennis player Berrettini .
Today Verissimo will propose an interview with Edwige Fenech, icon of Italian cinema. His interview it was an opportunity to look back on a career full of successes and to discover new sides of her personality, but also to raise awareness among women on the issue of violence against women: “At 20 I was attacked, but I didn’t report it – she confessed to Toffanin – I went to an audition. But I ran away from the building with my clothes torn. I got away with a good knee. Why didn’t I report it? I was a very important person. Then they wouldn’t have believed me. Today it is easier to be believed, but there is still a lot to do.”
Also, Saturday’s episode will reserve a special space for Raz Degan, an eternal free spirit who has found his perfect other half. In fact, the interview from last December will be repeated, when the actor and model presented his girlfriend to the Italian public Cindy, to whom he has been linked since 2017: “I am proud of her and of what she transmits to me. She makes me feel at home, protects me, helps me and makes me a better man”.

This episode of Verissimo – The stories will be broadcast today on Canale 5, Saturday 1 Junestarting from 4.30pm. Silvia Toffanin’s interviews will also be visible simultaneously and on demand on the platform Mediaset Infinity.
