With 65 million views worldwide in just the first 16 hours of release, Fallout is one of the most sensational successes of the year. And now the creators and showrunners of the Prime Video series based on the video game of the same name, Graham Wagner And Geneva Robertson-Dworetreveal a crucial detail of the highly anticipated second season.
In the video game series Fallout: New Vegas one of the key figures is represented by the villain Robert Housealso called Mr. House. The character had only made a brief appearance in the first season, but now Graham Wagner confirms that he will instead become a major protagonist of the next episodes: «Since Las Vegas in the world of Fallout is Robert House’s city, it is inevitable that he will become one of the main characters of the second season» declared the showrunner, who also underlined how the whole team is working hard to ensure the new episodes arrive as soon as possible.
We will then see how the self-elected CEO, charismatic leader and sole owner of the Vegas Strip will become a central figure in the video game adaptation. Another important element for the second season could then be the Deathclaw, incredibly strong mutant creatures over 3 meters tall, created through genetic engineering. And the real challenge for the creators was represented by the desire not to simply resort to CGI for these menacing entities to come to life on the screen.
«The Deathclaws were a problematic element and didn’t find the right space in the first season. Sometimes as screenwriters you can look at a challenge and say, “Okay, now we have to find a way.” We are developing possible ways to set up Deathclaws. They won’t simply be CGI creatures running up and down the screen, for it to have more impact and be cooler it takes a lot of time and many attempts to find the right way” concludes Wagner.
