Nothing to be done for Kevin Giordano. The young man died two weeks after the terrible accident that occurred on Provincial Road 69 between Monreale and Palermo.
The 20-year-old was in a coma in the neurosurgery department of the Civic hospital. The boy was hospitalized in very serious conditions. He was a boy from the Sperone neighborhood, loved by everyone. The parish of Maria SS. delle Grazie in Roccella had organized a prayer vigil.
Many messages of condolence on Facebook. One reads: “I want to remember you like this, precise, attentive and professional! Sweet and full of reserve. Fly high towards the light Kevin and from up there pray for us all!”.
The accident
The accident occurred a couple of weeks ago when the boy was driving along the road towards Palermo when he lost control of the vehicle, a Sh 300, at number 14, the so-called “curva San Ciro”. The intervention of the 118 paramedics was prompt and immediately transported him to the emergency room of the Civico, to then be transferred for hospitalization to the Neurosurgery department of the same hospital.
Road accident in Syracuse, falls from scooter and dies
A road accident occurred this morning, around 3:00, on the road between Portopalo di Capo Passero and Pachino, in the Syracuse area. According to an initial reconstruction, being examined by the Carabinieri, the victim is a 48-year-old, resident in Pachino, who fell while traveling that stretch on a scooter.
It appears to be a single-vehicle accident, but investigators have begun investigations to determine whether other vehicles were involved in the accident. Surveys have been carried out on the portion of the road where the 48-year-old fell in order to verify whether there are traces of braking belonging to a vehicle other than the scooter.
The investigation into road homicide
The Syracuse Prosecutor’s Office has opened an investigation for road homicide while the moped has been seized.
