There Friuli-Venezia Giulia Region announced an important program of support for families to face the summer school break. Thanks to regional funding, they will be guaranteed free or reduced-cost summer campsoffering concrete help to families in difficulty.

Summer centers financed by the third sector

This year, thanks to Announcement for the granting of contributions to Third Sector entities, 19 summer centers and 24 after-school centers were financed, of which 17 were also active during the summer period. These projects are distributed homogeneously throughout the regional territory, involving 890 children and young people aged 3 to 17 in summer centers e 580 children and young people aged 6 to 17 in after-school classes. The activities offered range from educational workshops to sports ones, ensuring coverage of six weeks for summer centers and 28 weeks for after-school activities.

Attivascuola summer campuses

One of the big new features this year is the introduction of Activate School Campus, aimed at pupils in the fifth classes of primary schools and students of first and second level secondary schools. The campuses, completely free, will take place from 22 to 26 July and from 2 to 6 September in various municipalities in the region, including Trieste, Udine and Pordenone. The proposed activities include workshops STEM disciplines, languages, music, theater And sportwith the aim of enhancing the talents of young people.

Registration methods, deadlines and contacts

The Region is evaluating the increase in available places given the high demand, with already 720 registered after just one week from the opening of registrations.

The initiative represents a significant step forward to support families during the summer period, guaranteeingeducational offer and quality recreation. As the councilor pointed out Alessia Rosolenthe objective is to make this type of support structural, alongside state intervention to ensure free or semi-free of summer centers.
