A DAY AT VILLA ARCONATI ON A FREE VISIT
What is the best way to visit Villa Arconati? Imagine experiencing it like the Guests of the Milanese aristocracy visiting in the eighteenth century, “at the court” of Giuseppe Antonio Arconati!
This is why the entrance ticket is daily, meaning it allows you to stay at the Villa for the whole day, with ever new cultural, social, artistic and entertainment options. Visitors can choose a free tour of the complex, or opt for a guided tour accompanied by FAR volunteer guides, who make their knowledge and above all their passion for this enchanting place available every Sunday.

In the Garden you can enjoy the coolness of the berceaux, the water games and the water games, for a walk in nature. In the past, the garden was also home to wild animals in the Deer Menagerie, and exotic birds such as ostriches. Today, at the bottom of the flowerbed, visitors will find the Enchanted Woodland Cottage, which is home to our peacock family.

The Palace, devoid of ancient furnishings, is very rich in history and the “stories” narrated by the sumptuous decorations, the result of the finest Lombard baroque style. In addition to a visit to enjoy the imposing trompe l’oeil frescoes, the stucco and gilding, the quadratures and perspective openings that open onto serene painted skies, it will be possible to experience some environments just like the ancient guests: enjoying a delicious lunch in the Sala Rossa, or sipping a tea or a refreshing drink under the loggia.

“ARCONATI GARDEN” APP: THE NEW (FREE!) WAY TO EXPERIENCE THE GARDEN
From today there is a new, immersive and multimedia way to experience the Garden of Villa Arconati, thanks to the brand new “Arconati Garden” App, downloadable for free on your device from the Google store and Apple Store! An App designed specifically to be able to enjoy the Garden in full autonomy, with content to support the visit: in-depth texts, audio guide, exclusive photos and videos and much more.
A special section of the App is designed for families with children with a treasure hunt to discover the architectural, artistic and botanical treasures of the Garden: the young guests and their families will be accompanied by Argo, the peacock mascot of the Garden, to answer the riddles posed by three of the ancient Masters of the house… to discover all the secrets of Villa Arconati!

USELESS PERFORMANCE by Silvano Repetto
Silvano Repetto is an artist who loves to play with art, he himself defines his performances as useless, moments of everyday life reversed, with a pinch of madness and poetry. His performances often arise from sudden inspiration and are immortalized by the artist through makeshift means. With his works, Repetto aspires to create amazement in the viewer, bringing him back for a moment to the innocence of childhood.
With humor and without the desire to provide intellectual or symbolic interpretations, Silvano Repetto offers playful visions born from sudden inspirations and linked, in some cases, to the Arconati palace and garden, which overturn the logic and obviousness of things.

TOMORROW. Jacques Martinez at Villa Arconati
Four exhibitions to show more than fifty years of my paintings, sculptures, drawings, until 2024 to let you guess what 2025 will be. To try to show how I try to continue, modestly – not always – proudly often! the story of a world that is mine. How I tried to “navigate” between what I call the 4 cardinal points of this story: Abstraction; Man, figure, body; Landscape; Still life (I make a concession to English because I refuse the word “dead” in Still life). Thus, we will see Arconati with the “A” as Atlantic, Venice with the “V” as Living, Nice with the “N” as Nostalgia, Ciani with the “C” as Classical.

Arconati / Atlantic
The surprising beauty, the dimensions, the perfection of its facades did not escape the young English visitors on their “grand tour”, when they defined Villa Arconati as the “Versailles of Milan”.
It is only at Arconati, in its Library, that one could discover Leonardo da Vinci’s Atlantic Codex. Even though it is now preserved at the Biblioteca Ambrosiana in Milan, its memory still illuminates the walls and the visit of the Arconati Palace.
