Maturity 2024: for 2300 students of Lecco and province the first test began. In fact, today, Wednesday 19 June 2024, the moment of truth has arrived, the most feared but also the most awaited. At 8.30 the envelopes were opened: among the traces of analysis of the text there is Luigi’s song Pirandello “Quaderni di Serafino Gubbio Imperatore”, the poem “Pellegrinaggio” by Giuseppe Ungaretti, The praise of imperfection of Rita Levi Montalcini.
Maturity 2024: the first test has begun for 2300 students from Lecco
In recent days everyone has been wondering what the proposed tracks could be. What is certain is that there will be seven, divided into three types:
- Type A, two tracks of text analysis (one poetic text and one prose);
- Type B, three tracks of argumentative text (one of these will necessarily be historical);
- Type C, two current theme tracks.

For the argumentative text, the track on “History of Europe” by Giuseppe Galasso. Also among the themes Rita Levi Montalcini with the Praise of Imperfection and a text by the constitutionalist Maria Agostina Cabiddu taken from the magazine of the Italian constitutionalists association.
Finally, the current issues: they are there Nicoletta Polla-Mattiot – journalist among the founders of the Academy of Silence – with a text taken from “Rediscovering silence, art, music and poetry. Nature between listening and communication” and Maurizio Caminitoformer director of the Central Children’s Library of Rome, and the text from “Profiles, selfies and blogs, the form of the diary in the internet age”.
Second and (for some) even the third test
The second written test will be held on Thursday 20 June 2024 and will, as always, concern a specific subject. For some types of institutes (provided only for Esabac, Esabac techno, sections with an international option, schools in the Aosta Valley and the Province of Bolzano, schools teaching the Slovenian language or with Italian-Slovenian bilingual education in Friuli Venezia Giulia) there will be even one third written test.
The oral exams will begin after the written tests have been corrected.
According to data from Ministry of Education and Merit The students admitted to the Maturity I am the 96.4% a slight increase compared to last year (96.3) and 2022 (96.2). The largest number of those admitted is in Molise with 98.2%, followed by Basilicata with 97.1%, Veneto with 96.9%, Lazio And Campania with 96.8%. You fail more Sardinia where 7.4% of students were not admitted, followed by Valle d’Aosta, Liguria, Tuscany And Sicily.
