Compasso d’Oro 2024, awards ceremony and exhibition

Thursday 20 June 2024 at 6.30 pm the spaces ofAdi Design Museum – Compasso d’Oro of Milan, with entrance from via Ceresio 7, host awards ceremony of the XXVIII edition of Compasso d’Oro awardone of the most important recognitions of Italian design, established in 1954 by Gio Pontiwhich also celebrates its seventieth anniversary this year.

Seventy years of work that have made the Compasso d’Oro a point of reference for a sector that today represents one of the most relevant cultural and economic values: over 40,000 employees, more than 17,000 companies and 3.14 billion euros in value added (Design Economy 2024by Fondazione Symbola, Adi, Deloitte Private, Poli.design), and which gave rise to one historical collection of approximately 2500 pieces in continuous growth, recognized in 2004 by the Ministry of Cultural Heritage as an asset of exceptional artistic and historical interest.

The awards ceremony is scheduled Thursday 20 June at 6.30 pm at the Piazza Compasso d’Oro, in front of the Adi Design Museum. They intervene Umberto Cabinipresident of the Adi Foundation, Luciano Galimbertipresident of ADI, Giuseppe Salamayor of Milan, e Attilio Fontana, president of the Lombardy Region. In addition to participating live in the award ceremony of the winners designated by the International Jury, the event is an opportunity to visit, following the ceremony, the exhibition that showcases the innovative design projects participating in the selection.
