Four hours of strike on all Abramo Customer Care sites in Calabria. This is what the regional secretariats Slc-Cgil, Fistel-Cisl, Uilcom-Uil and Ugl Telecommunications have announced for tomorrow, 27 June.
In a note the unions recall that “there are now 5 days left until the end of the contract which guarantees the necessary activities for Abramo Customer Care in Extraordinary Administration to maintain over 1000 employment contracts in Calabria”.
For this reason, since last Monday the Abramo CC employees of Crotone have occupied the council chamber, meeting in a permanent assembly until the ministry convenes a crisis table on the dispute.
Abramo CC’s dispute is a complex one that depends on several factors: “Apart from some institutional statements – the unions write – there is no certainty on the part of the client, much less the extraordinary commissioners, of further extensions of the activities that would allow for additional time to find a solution for all affected workers. After 6 months and, despite the requests and reminders made both from the institutional side and from the national and regional secretariats of both confederation and category, of CGIL, CISL, UIL and UGL, the specific crisis table for Abramo Customer has still not been convened. Dear.”
Thus, at the same time as the closure of commercial activities that will take place tomorrow in Crotone as a sign of solidarity, a four-hour strike has been decided “to shout ever louder – the unions add – that the behavior of Tim, a state-owned company, is shameful, which has absolutely no qualms about putting 1000 Calabrian mothers and fathers on the street in order to pursue a paltry saving compared to the costs and billion-dollar turnover”.
The strike will affect all Calabrian production sites (Crotone, Montalto Uffugo and Catanzaro) with related territorial demonstrations, because, the unions reiterate, “it is a dispute that impacts the entire Region, a dispute that goes beyond personal and territorial ambitions, a dispute among the most important that our Region is forced to face and necessarily win”.
