Sanremo, the new mayor Alessandro Mager takes his seat at Palazzo Bellevue

Welcomed by the now former mayor Alberto Bianchini and by a large crowd of managers and employees, Alessandro Mager, the new first citizen of Sanremo, entered Palazzo Bellevue. Between applause and moments of emotion, Biancheri officially handed over the mayoral seat to Mager.

“It’s an honor to carry her,” Mager said. “However, it is not behind the band that I want to hide, I want to be an active protagonist in the administrative life of my city. I have been smiling continuously for six months, even more, even in situations that perhaps did not justify the smile, but I have continued to smile and I hope to continue to smile in the coming years too.”

After winning in the second round against his opponent Gianni Rolando, supported by the centre-right parties, the civic candidate Mager is now officially the mayor of Sanremo. Starting tomorrow, he announced that he will meet all municipal employees and will have a long dialogue with the general secretary.

Among the first issues Mager will address as mayor is rubbish collection. “Communication with Amaie Energia is very important to me, to understand the current situation of waste collection and the famous issue of ecological islands,” he explained.

To know the composition of new council municipal we will have to wait until July. “Among my interlocutors there will also be Fellegara“, Mager announced. The first city council under his leadership will be held in mid-July.
