Italy’s medal table at the 2024 European Athletics Championships: the Azzurri have already beaten the record set in Split 1990
With Gianmarco Tamberi’s exciting gold in the men’s high jump, the European Championships in Rome 2024 – scheduled at the Olympic Stadium from 7 to 12 June – for the Azzurri are increasingly becoming a triumph. In fact, 10 gold medals have already been won by Italy in this important competition which already gives us a foretaste of the next Paris 2024 Olympics. This is a historic result: as we write to you, 20 medals have made the Mameli anthem resonate, a number that beat the previous record of 12 achieved at the 1990 European Championship in Split.
In order not to lose count and to celebrate all our athletes, let’s look back at all the golds, silvers and bronzes in Italy’s medal table at the 2024 European Athletics Championships. Watching these boys and girls rejoice takes us to the capital in our minds French for the sporting event of the year. Hoping that after Rome, the sky of Paris can also become blue.
