At the athletics field the festive Speakers’ Day [photogallery]

There were 864 participants, including children and animators, in the Oratory City Day that took place on Wednesday at the athletics field in via Gerbi.
Organized by the Urban Vicar of the Diocese, unlike previous years it did not involve the summer centers of parishes or religious schools of the entire diocese, but only those of Asti. In fact, there were children and animators from Don Bosco, Cathedral, San Secondo-Santa Maria Nuova-San Silvestro, Cappellania San Giuseppe Marello, San Paolo, Sacro Cuore, San Pietro, Mazzarello school, to which was added the summer center of the volleyball club Play Asti.

Don Limeira’s comment

«This year – explains Don Rodrigo Limeira, head of the urban Vicar – we wanted to enhance the various pastoral areas into which the diocese is divided, for which each one was called to organize its own day, which as far as we are concerned saw us collaborate with the Municipality’s Sports Department and with the provincial school office”.
At the athletics field the day was spent between games, entertainment, moments of prayer and sports competitions in which coaches from the Vittorio Alfieri, Atletica Asti 2.2, Centro Sportivo del Roero and Junior Pentathlon Asti companies collaborated. It should also be remembered that, thanks to the collaboration of the Centro Sportivo del Roero which manages the municipal swimming pool, the entertainers had the opportunity to enjoy a moment of relaxation and aggregation by entering the pool for free at the end of the day.
