Everyone underlined how this work is not only a heritage of Lavarone and the Cimbra Alp but of the entire Trentino and the entire Alpine arc, underlining how thanks to the participation of over 1600 people who participated in a crowdfunding campaign it was It was possible to find strength and rebuild the new work after the fire that destroyed the first Drago Vaia in August 2023.
During the ceremony it was announced that the story of the dragon’s reconstruction will be made into a documentary film, “In the Dragon’s Skin” signed by the director from Trentino Katia Bernardi who with his crew followed the work of Marthas starting last October, documenting the creative process and construction phases. A story not only of the creation of the work but of a community and the relationship with his work, was explained in a film that addresses the themes of art, beauty, rebirth and the relationship between man and nature. In the next few days a crowdfunding campaign will be launched on Gofundme to support the post-production work so that the film becomes a collective work like the creation of the new dragon was.
