Guatemala of the Highlands and its Mayan communities, in the cultural universe of languages, colors and markets, ancestral and roaring symbols
trucks. But also the profound, painful, feminine and marginal Guatemala, the feeling of abandonment, aggressive tourism and
careless, the repeated violence on the land and on the bodies of women, the wounds of a genocidal war that has affected the indigenous population
his main victim. An encounter experienced in the interweaving of travels, along an interior, intimate and feminine journey, in a retracing of places, fragments, healings. Much more than an anthropological investigation. This book is the story of a solitary traveller, a woman among other women, between disorientation, research and solidarity.
