Polytrauma for the Norwegian
[Aggiornamento ora 20:00] – Through an official note, the family of Norwegian Mia Rushten wanted to give an update on Mia Rushten’s health conditions following what happened in the hospital in Cesena where she had been transferred following the polytrauma found on the track after first aid: “Mia underwent surgery to relieve the pressure on her head and the bleeding. She is currently in an artificial coma. The doctors were confident and satisfied with the outcome of the surgery. Her vital signs and pressure on her brain are stable. Thank you for all the loving messages sent to Mia, she is the toughest woman in the world.”
The women’s speed world championship kicked off today in Misano WCRbut the race which was led by two well-known faces of motorcycling – Maria Herrera and Ana Carrasco – was interrupted prematurely when there were seven laps left until the checkered flag.
The Norwegian’s slide Mia Rushten at Misano-2 it in fact led to the display of the red flag. Rushten was in twelfth position and probably fell due to a front lock in one of the two final left-hand corners which were very critical due to the temperature of the tire ‘reduced’ from the long fast right-hand section of the Curvone.
