A fire which broke out around 2.50 pm today, Thursday 20 June, is creating repercussions on traffic transiting on the Rome-Fiumicino motorway in the direction of the capital due to the closure, in both directions, of a section of the Magliana viaduct.

The fire broke out in close to an illegal settlement located near via Asciano due to the burning of waste and foliage present on an uncultivated field and has resulted the ban on the transit of vehicles on the Magliana viaduct, in the stretch between via Cristoforo Colombo and viale Isacco Newton.
It is therefore not recommended for those heading towards the capital from the coast located north of Rome or is located near the area where the firefighters intervened to suffocate the flames and restore the viability of the viaduct, to head towards Eur because the entire area is paralyzed by traffic.
