On the Riviera late yesterday morning, three fires broke out in less than an hour, putting the fire brigade teams of the three Romagna provinces to the test. The first alarm went off around 11.30 at the Hotel Residenza Lido, in the center of Cesenatico, in via Ferrara on the corner with viale Carducci, where inside a studio apartment the flames broke out from the hob in the kitchenette. There were no people inside the room and the prompt intervention of the fire prevention officer of the accommodation facility was providential, who with a fire extinguisher supplied made it possible to avoid the worst and facilitate the intervention of the fire brigade teams of Forlì, Cesena and Cervia, who arrived on site with sirens and secured the building. The firefighters subsequently ventilated the rooms saturated with smoke with special equipment. About twenty tourists were evacuated for precautionary reasons and were immediately returned, so much so that the residence is open regularly. There is damage to property, but fortunately no one was hurt. The fire brigade intervened with managers and technicians to collect useful elements to establish the causes of the fire, which could be a lack of attention or a malfunction of the system.
A few minutes later, two other fires were reported again in Cesenatico, in the Valverde and Villamarina area. At number 33 via Tiziano, in an apartment on the second floor, here too the flames developed from the hob, probably due to a pan left on the stove. The rapid intervention of the firefighters made it possible to limit the damage in the kitchen and not damage the supporting structure. The apartment is in fact usable, although obviously the people inside were evacuated to allow the building to be made safe.
At number 36 via Palladio, where the Villa Luisa di Villamarina holiday center is located, a fire caused concern because there were gas cylinders inside the structure, which were immediately moved by the firefighters, who got the better of the fire. fire in a few minutes, and then made the area safe.
