The 42nd Wine Culture Forum, organized by the Italian Sommelier Foundation with the contribution of the Lazio Region and Arsial, is scheduled for Monday 1st July in Rome, at the Hotel Rome Cavalieri starting from 11.30.
The “Forum” is an annual event of particular importance in the national wine scene, dedicated to the celebration of wine culture. It brings together sommeliers, producers, industry experts, food and wine enthusiasts and operators with the aim of exploring crucial issues such as tasting, wine production, new market trends, sustainability and wine education.
The 1st July edition is entirely dedicated to Lazio, to its qualitative growth and to the fact that, despite the presence of companies and productions of the highest level, the wines of our region have not yet obtained the recognition they deserve, due to deep-rooted prejudices that have historically limited its appreciation. The “Forum” therefore represents an important platform for dialogue to discuss strategies and solutions aimed at promoting a more equitable and conscious valorisation of the great quality of Lazio wines.
The President of the Lazio Region will take part in the “Forum” as speakers Francesco Roccathe councilor with responsibilities for Budget, Agriculture and Food Sovereignty of the Lazio Region Giancarlo Righinithe Extraordinary Commissioner of Arsial Massimiliano Raffa and the President of the Italian Sommelier Foundation and of Bibenda Editore Franco Maria Riccisupported by an important audience, composed of experts and operators in the sector.
The event is accompanied by the “Sommelier Festival”, during which 350 wine and oil sommeliers will be nominated, in addition to the delivery of certificates of honor for 10, 15, 20, 25 and 30 years of membership of the Foundation Italian Sommelier. In this setting, starting from 4.00 pm, a large tasting stand will be set up with the participation of over 50 companies from Lazio, which will offer more than 300 labels of white, rosé and sparkling wines of their own production for tasting.
