The promotion of the excellence of Friuli Venezia Giulia takes on a new dimension through the “Flavours of Friuli Venezia Giulia” initiative, a real itinerant journey in the squares of the area which aims to raise awareness of the quality products under the “Io Sono Friuli Venezia” brand Giulia”. This project, supported by Despar Nord, took place today in the Palazzo della Regione, where the governor Massimiliano Fedriga and the councilor for Productive Activities and Tourism Sergio Emidio Bini outlined the details of this fascinating initiative.
The value of regional tradition
The tour, which includes ten stops and uses a truck equipped for show cooking and tastings, is not only an opportunity to taste and purchase the products, but also a moment to discover the artisans behind these delights. Fedriga highlighted the importance of enhancing the “heritage of diversity”, both culinary and wine, that the region offers. “We are a small region with an enormous heritage to be valorised,” she said, underlining the need for quality tourism that distinguishes itself from mass tourism.

The tour will start on June 23rd from Lignano Sabbiadoro and will touch other suggestive locations such as Sappada, Malborghetto, Majano, Trieste, Pordenone, Tolmezzo, Udine, Gemona, to end on December 7th and 8th in Gorizia. The president of the Agrifood Fvg Foundation, Pier Giorgio Sturlese, and Fabrizio Cicero, director of Despar Nord for the regional territory, participated in the conference, underlining the importance of the “Io Sono Friuli Venezia Giulia” brand, which today includes more than 750 companies and over a thousand products.
