Very serious accident this morning in the Cd nautica parking area of Fiumaretta which is located along the left bank of the Magra.
In fact, just before 9am, a 69-year-old Italian man was overwhelmed by the collapse of a crane while he was under the machinery to attach the straps necessary to lift a boat.
For reasons still under investigation, the crane became unbalanced on one side and the man was unable to move in time, being crushed by the arm and the scale.
The call to 112 was immediately made requesting help. Shortly afterwards, the Delta 2 medical vehicle, the Romito Magra Public Assistance ambulance, the fire brigade, the local police, the Carabinieri and the Psal section of ASL 5 were on site.
At first, despite the numerous injuries suffered and the exposed fracture of the left femur, the 69-year-old was conscious, then the situation worsened due to the shock and the doctors of the 118 and the Pegaso air ambulance, which had meanwhile arrived in the square, took steps to intubate him and administer the drugs necessary for stabilization, before starting the transfer to Cisanello. Shortly after arriving at the hospital, however, the man died.
