There could be a turning point for starting the service maritime connections between Cilento, Salerno, the Amalfi Coast and Capri. In fact, at the close of the deadline for submitting offers, there was a shipowner who demonstrated availability to carry out the service.
Yesterday, when the envelope was opened, the offer presented for only lot 1 (the one involving Cilento) was made known by Alicost. The service could start within a few weeks, probably as early as the beginning of July. Otherwise, however, the Campania region should speed up the process for a direct assignment of the Metrò del Mare, with the hope of starting the connections quickly, thus avoiding the inconveniences of last year when the departure only took place in August.
The first tender for the Metrò del Mare 2024 had already been deserted, forcing the offices of Palazzo Santa Lucia to publish a second one whose terms expired on 10 June.
The races
In the next few hours, therefore, barring unforeseen circumstances, we will know who will manage the sea connection service between Cilento, Salerno, Capri and the Amalfi Coast.
There are 4 historically active routes to and from Cilento:
Line 1: Salerno – Cilento Coast, Saturday and Sunday, ports: Salerno, Agropoli, San Marco, Acciaroli, Casal Velino, Pisciotta, Camerota;
Line 2: Salerno Amalfi Coast from Monday to Friday, from the ports: Salerno, Agropoli, San Marco, Amalfi, Positano;
Line 3: Cilento – Capri Napoli Beverello Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, in the ports of Sapri, Camerota, Pisciotta, Casal Velino, San Marco, Agropoli, Capri, Napoli Beverello;
Line 3B: Sapri – Capri – Napoli Beverello from Monday to Friday in the ports of Sapri, Palinuro, Acciaroli, San Marco, Agropoli, Capri, Napoli Beverello.
