Husband and wife aged 61 and 68, Robert Friendrich Fendt and Maria Cornelia Schubert both from Ausburg, with their car, a Honda, were traveling towards Rome. In the video you can see the car cutting across all the lanes from left to right and proceeding at high speed until it crashes into a guard rail that separates the lanes and ends up against the other cars stopped in the queue. Finally, the final impact against one of the booths with a toll booth inside which was completely uprooted and moved and ended up against a car that was passing in the other lane. A deadly carambola that transformed the scene into a tangle of sheet metal and during which the car with the two spouses overturned on top of the others.
