For reasons yet to be ascertained, the stretch between the Ferentino and Anagni toll booths was closed due to an accident that occurred near the Ferentino toll booth. What happened is not yet clear: the only information available at the moment is that it was a very serious accident, which is keeping rescuers busy on multiple fronts. It appears that a car and a truck collided: a 21-year-old woman resident in Rome, who was in the car, died following the crash. The impact would have occurred in the northbound lane.
There are five kilometers of queues that have formed on the motorway. Traffic has been diverted onto Casilina and Morolense up to Anagni, while those coming from the south are advised to exit the motorway at the Frosinone toll booth.
A plane landed on siteair ambulance for the other people injured in the accident. The investigations have been entrusted to the Traffic Police officers, while the Fire Brigade and the Autostrade company staff are also working on the site.
