Claudio Ranieri was good on and off the pitch: the coach actually received the Gentleman Serie B 2022/2023 coach award. The award, dedicated to the memory of Gigi Simoni, was voted on by the preferences of the twenty coaches of the BKT Series. Ranieri had already won the award two seasons ago and succeeds Stefano Pioli, who had received the Gentleman Gigi Simoni in 2021/2022.
The San Siro Tower was presented to the Cagliari coach in Milan, a symbol – underlines the Lega Serie B – “of an award inspired by the most sincere values of football, values of fair play that Ranieri has always represented”.
