Last night, a violent fire devastated six vehicles parked along via Monticelli, in Salerno. The accident occurred around 2.30am, causing significant damage to the cars involved. The police intervened promptly at the scene of the event “Proma Departure” of the Salerno Fire Brigade Commandsupported by a tanker, to put out the flames which had already completely engulfed the cars.
Dynamics of the Accident
The fire spread quickly, involving all six cars parked along the street. Firefighters worked quickly to prevent the flames from spreading further and to protect any buildings or other properties nearby.
Intervention by the Authorities
After securing the area and putting out the fire, the police intervened to start the necessary investigations in order to trace the causes of the event and identify any perpetrators. The forensic police and investigators are in the field to collect evidence and testimonies that can provide useful clues to clarify what happened.
Investigations underway
At the moment, it is not clear what started the fire and whether it was a malicious or accidental act. Four cars were completely destroyed from a fire in the night between Saturday and Sunday in via Parmenide a Salerno. The causes of the fire are yet to be ascertained.
