Carlos Canal’s crash at Liège-Bastogne-Liège 2024 caused quite a few worries for the Spanish Movistar rider. After the impact with a post, the Iberian suffered several problems, which his team explained in a tweet:
“After the fall at Liège-Bastogne-Liège, the Galician runner suffered a head injury, but later tested negative for bone or brain injuries. Carlos has cuts and bruises to his left hip and both knees, with no other injuries to report. He will spend the night under observation, following the protocol for skull contusions, in the Queen Astrid Hospital Center in Malmedy, Belgium.”

The worst therefore seems to be behind us, even if it is clear that in the next few days we will proceed with caution in order to understand how Carlos Canal you will subsequently be able to return to cycling in the second part of the 2024 cycling season.
