At the Kingspan Stadium it ends 38-34 (pt 21-9) confirming the Treviso taboo which has not won away in Belfast since October 2011 (11-23). Yet the match immediately went well. 5′ passed and Menoncello unlocked the score, freed along the right-wing out which he crushed on the flag. But Umaga, who was not very inspired by his foot in the evening (1/4), did not convert. The reaction from the hosts was not long in coming and Ulster scored three tries before the break. Bortolami scolds him in the locker room and the results can be seen when he returns to the pitch. Umaga, Halafihi and Nemer connect to bring the Lions back to within a point of Ulster (28-27) in the 63rd minute. But the end rewarded the Northern Irish who pushed Benetton back with Izuchukwu’s goal. In extermis the Lions found the double bonus with the fifth try scored in full recovery by an excellent Albornoz.
