Fabio Di Giannantonio was the protagonist of a beautiful Sprint Race yesterday, when after starting from the 6th spot on the starting grid he made a less than exciting start which then forced him to make a spectacular comeback. Fabio finished in 5th place, showing that he has the pace to fight for the podium and this morning in the Assen warm up his best time testifies again how fast he is. If he were to get away well, he would undoubtedly be a rival to fear for the podium in today’s Grand Prix.

Behind him was Marc Marquez, who after yesterday’s mistake will undoubtedly want to redeem himself so as not to lose more points to Martìn and Bagnaia, the two rivals in the race for the title. Maverick Vinales, who today will be the only one on the track with the Aprilia of the Factory Team given the defections (having been judged unfit) of Espargarò and Savadori, set the third time while Pecco Bagnaia closed the last session with the 4th time.

Jorge Martìn takes the 5th time ahead of Bastianini, another great protagonist yesterday in the Sprint, and Marco Bezzecchi, who this weekend in Assen is struggling beyond all expectations. Morbidelli is 8th ahead of Alex Marquez and Pedro Acosta. We also remember that Jorge Martìn received a 3-place grid penalty for the GP, so today he will have to start from the 5th position on the grid.

This is the standings of the MotoGP warm up at Assen:
