MULTISPORT PROJECT: COLORNO RUGBY AT THE CROCETTA BASEBALL SUMMER CAMP

An afternoon of rugby on a different pitch than usual, diamond-shaped and with four white bases instead of the H posts. We are talking about the house of Crocetta Baseball, where yesterday Colorno Rugby spent a few hours in the company of the children of the “Batti e Corri” Summer Camp. Under the direction of the red and white coach Paolo Bettatisupported for the occasion by the HBS scrum half Michele Artusioaround thirty children immersed themselves in the world of the oval ball, learning the basics of rugby through a series of games.

“We pass to the south to score in the north” explained “Betto”, trying to convey to the boys the value of mutual support, which is fundamental for reaching the goal together. And these young champions went to the goal several times, who for once put aside sticks, balls and gloves to transform themselves into a real rugby team.

“Together with other clubs in the Parma area, such as Crocetta Baseball, we are trying to carry out a multi-sports project that allows very young people to try all sports, finding their own path”, comments Technical Director Stefano Romagnoli. “We are at the beginning and we are proceeding in small steps, but we will get together soon to organize a multi-sports day together open to everyone”.
