The Roman full-back has had an adjustment in a context that could be decisive in view of next season.
His career saw him as the protagonist of many incredible feats that will never be forgotten, but also of disastrous falls that seemed to have compromised his career forever. However, he always had the strength to get up, work hard and become important in the teams and groups of which he was part.
Let’s talk about Alessandro Florenzi, now a full-back for Milan, but inextricably linked to the Roma shirt, with which he grew up and became a man and footballer. And it is precisely with the Giallorossi shirt that the former Valencia and Paris Saint Germain player scored a goal that will hardly be forgotten and which can be considered among the best in the history of the Champions League.
It was September 2015, in fact, when Florenzi scored a masterpiece goal from midfield against European Champion Barcelona in charge of Messi, Xavi and Iniesta and he did it at the Olimpico, his stadium and in front of his fans. Still wearing the Roma shirt, however, Alessandro suffered two terrible injuries, both of which saw the rupture of the cruciate ligament in his knee and which affected his career forever.
A career that, at least until the first serious injury, promised to be amazing and made people talk about Florenzi as the natural heir of Totti and De Rossi, captains and yellow-red flags who have always inspired him. This was not the case and after a few seasons the full-back also had two loan experiences abroad, between Valencia and Paris Saint Germain.
Florenzi, his stay at Milan is at risk
In the summer of 2021, however, after having won the European Championship with the national team, despite an injury which also took him out of the scene during Italy’s debut match against Switzerland, Paolo Maldini calls him at Milan and he takes away the satisfaction of winning the first Serie A Scudetto of his life.
The following summer the Rossoneri bought him outright and he becomes a leader of a locker room that sees him among the less young, but above all among footballers with more charisma, experience and personality. After Pioli’s farewell and Fonseca’s arrival, however, his confirmation at Milan is now at risk.
Florenzi, not just a full-back
In the meantime, however, important news arrives about him. In the famous video game EAFC24In fact, Florenzi obtained a rating evolution of 94. This upward adjustment will allow it to outperform and to be able to act both as a full-back, his natural role, and as a midfielder.
A role, that of midfielder in the middle of the pitch, which Alessandro has already held positions in the past, at Roma and in the national team, but also in Pioli’s Milan in recent months. A position that could also be that of the last years of his career, given his innate ability to read the game and the tactical intelligence that has always been part of his repertoire.
