A ‘dream’ called the European Volleyball Championships, scheduled for 2026. The PalaTerni could host some matches of the continental trophy which will return to Italy, after the 2023 edition, through an already tested format. In fact, last year the competition involved the complexes present in Bologna, Perugia, Ancona, Bari and Rome and then also embraced other European countries. Now that Terni can count on such an innovative structure, who knows whether it might apply to welcome men’s volleyball specialists, also taking advantage of its proximity to Rome.
At the moment, according to what has been gathered by our editorial team at www.ternitoday.it, there have been no discussions, also because the organisers, in agreement with the federation, choose the locations. Therefore we can speak of a mere suggestion, or perhaps of a desire that all athletes have in common. In fact, a competition of this kind brings notable benefits, both in terms of visibility and related activities for the entire territory. The sports hall has all the necessary characteristics to host international events. Therefore the conditions are all there.
At the same time, the event that will inaugurate the Umbria Forum season is approaching. On Friday 5 April (8.30 pm) the show ‘Amores’ will attract the attention of the city. Curated by Daniele Cipriani, it will be able to count on an exceptional cast. The artists will perform engaging choreographies by Sasha Riva and Simone Repele, accompanied by original texts by Vittorio Sabadin. PalaTerni is therefore ready to welcome initiatives with a strong appeal with the new arrival of child seats: “The final inspection will be convened shortly. We are waiting to have the approval for external usability – underlines the project manager Sergio Anibaldi – before we can proceed”.
