“He understood my pain for the son I lost”

The song Una cometa blu addresses the painful topic of miscarriage, a drama that unfortunately the singer experienced when she lost the first child she was expecting with Stefano Corti.

Bianca Atzei will be in concert at Naples Pride Saturday 29 June in Piazza Dante. The artist said she was happy to take part in the event. She is convinced that it is necessary to continue fighting for sacrosanct rights that are not yet recognized. In an interview given to Giuliano Delli Paoli for the Corriere del Mezzogiorno you also spoke about the collaboration with Gigi D’Alessio who wrote the song for her A blue comet, an intense and moving song that addresses the theme of interrupted motherhood. A pain that the artist experienced when she lost the first child she was expecting with Stefano Corti. Today she is Noa’s mother.

Gigi D’Alessio wrote a song for Bianca Atzei

Gigi D’Alessio wrote the song Una cometa blu for Bianca Atzei. The artist told how this collaboration between them was born: “Gigi is a special person for me. He was beside me in the most complicated moments of my life. I learned a lot from him, both humanly and artistically. When Una cometa blu arrived I immediately thought it was a song that I could never write, because It’s about something that happened to me that hurt me“. The song, in fact, recounts the pain of the loss of the first child and the hope found with the birth of the second child Noa:

Gigi D’Alessio managed to delicately touch on a very difficult topic, such as spontaneous abortion. […] The first time I listened to it I was therefore quite moved. Noa, every time he listens to it he stops. He is captivated by the melody. Probably because I sang it while he was in my belly. He will therefore have felt a very strong energy, which resurfaces when he listens to it again. It’s as if he felt a deep connection with the music and the words. It’s a kind of magic.

The lyrics to A Blue Comet

I imagined your eyes
Dreaming of my eyes
With that slightly upturned nose
It wasn’t you yet
You know, it was just us
There was a bit of jealousy
I talked about it with him
But you were a little more mine
It went out into the blue
You are the first star
Life was no longer mine
Without his life
You don’t know how much I swore
But I wasn’t me
You know, there was sunshine in my belly
Which revolved around the heart
It stopped over a flower
And then it was gone
But then you came along
The flower and my sun down here
Na-na, na-na, na-na, na-na
Na-na, na-na, na-na
Na-na, na-na, na-na, na-na
Nah-nah, nah-nah, nah-nah
You know, we were still there
The wait and then leaving
I talked about it with him
But you were always mine
And in the midst of these blue lights
You are the new star
Now I look into your eyes
And I see a little of him
The essence of my life
Of another gone away
You are a miracle of God
A gift just from me
Christmas in January
A blue comet
Which leaves its trail to the world
And the universe in my house
Which leaves its trail to the world
And the universe in my house.
