Will arrive streaming August 9th on Apple TV+ a new Apple Original movie titled The Instigators: directed by Doug Liman Of Mr. & Mrs. SmithOf Edge of Tomorrow and the recent Road House, and protagonists they are Matt Damon (who had worked with Liman in The Bourne Identityhere also producer with Ben Affleck, Jeff Robinov, John Graham, Kevin J. Walsh, Alison Winter) and Casey Affleck (who instead wrote the screenplay together with Chuck MacLean).
The Instigators is described as a heist thriller, and the story sees the two actors in the role of two unlikely partners: Rory, a desperate father, and Cobby, an ex-convict, recruited to carry out a robbery of a corrupt politician’s ill-gotten gains. When the heist goes wrong, the two find themselves in a vortex of chaos, pursued not only by the police, but also by backward bureaucrats and vengeful crime bosses. Completely at a loss, they convince Rory’s therapist to join them on an adventurous escape through the city streets that forces them to put aside their differences and work together to escape capture or worse.
In the role of the therapist there is Hong Chaucurrently in cinemas with Kinds of Kindnesswhile completing the cast we find actors of the caliber of Michael Stuhlbarg, Paul Walter Hauser, Ving Rhames, Alfred Molina, Toby Jones, Jack Harlow and Ron Perlman.
