The Lord of the Rings: War of the Rohirrim is the title of the style film souls directed by Kenji Kamiyama and based on the novel The Lord of the Rings by JRR Tolkien.
Philippa Boyens, co-writer of the film trilogy of Lord of the Ringsis here the producer, while the director Peter Jackson and co-writer Fran Walsh, while not officially involved in the anime, were used by Boyens as consultants.
The facts told in The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim are chronologically prior to those of The Fellowship of the Ring, The two Towers And The return of the king. It is therefore a prequel set 183 years before the events of the film trilogy of Lord of the Rings.
The Rohirrim War tells the story of Helm Hammerhand, a legendary king of Rohan, and his family as they defend their kingdom against an army of Dunlendings. Helm would later become the namesake of the Helm’s Deep stronghold.
20 minutes of the anime premiered on Tuesday, at the Annecy Animation Festival. Director Kenji Kamiyana he mentioned, as sources of inspiration, Tolkien’s trilogy, the novel The Hobbit and Peter Jackson’s adaptations. However, producer Jason DeMarco stressed that Kamiya had ultimately sought a personal path that resembled his previous works, which include the series Blade Runner: Black Lotus And Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex.
In the cast vocal Brian Cox, Gaia Wise, Luke Pasqualino, Miranda Otto, Laurence Ubong Williams and Shaun Dooley. In the United States, The Lord of the Rings: War of the Rohirrim has the date Of exit of December 13th, the film will be distributed abroad on December 11th.

I watch films and play video games, from a certain point in life I also started writing about them. I am fascinated by the remote corners of the internet, the graphics of the first 3D video games and the images that fall under the not at all defined umbrella of the term aesthetic, with respect to which I carry out a compulsive cataloging activity which has as its point of arrival some Instagram profiles. However, the TV series with the best aesthetics (and the best overall) is The X-Files, which I never ended up not conceiving the thought “there are no more episodes of The X-Files to watch for the rest of my life”. Same thing with Evangelion (the manga).
