What to do in Lille this week? EURO 2024 continues and we start the week with a shock match for France against their Belgian cousins. Enough to get right into this festive week with the arrival of the Olympic flame and its share of festivities in Lille, Roubaix and Tourcoing. Enough to take us with joy to Main Square, which begins Thursday to celebrate its 20th anniversary.

6 p.m. – EURO 2024: France – Belgium in the 8th final
This Monday, we finish work early, we put on our jerseys. Three strokes of makeup and we rush to join our friends in our favorite bar. The reason for this Monday aperitif? France’s round of 16 at EURO 2024 against our Belgian cousins. Two teams who have proven a lot as they left us wanting more during this first round of competition. The revenge of the SEUM so we keep our fingers crossed as we approach this beautiful poster.

3 p.m. – Olympic Day, parade and torch route in Lille
From 3 p.m., the festivities will begin on the Champ de Mars esplanade. At 4 p.m., a huge parade with 1,700 people and 65 sports associations will leave from rue Faidherbe with fanfare. The Olympic torch relay will begin at 6:20 p.m. in front of the headquarters of the European Metropolis of Lille, then pass in front of the Hôtel du Département du Nord, the Pont de Flandres, the Lille-Europe station, avenue Le Corbusier, the Lille station -Flandres, rue Faidherbe, Grand’Place, rue Nationale and boulevard de la Liberté. The arrival is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on the Esplanade du Champ de Mars, where Dany Boon, last torchbearer, will light the cauldron!
