Brescia – Tragic accident along the SP9, the road that runs along Lake Valvestino. A 28-year-old motorcyclist lost his life after ending up in a ravine following a crash, apparently head-on, with his brother’s motorbike. Authorities are working to reconstruct the dynamics of what happened.
The tragedy occurred in the late morning of Sunday, June 30th. According to an initial reconstruction of the facts, the two brothers originally from Como were traveling along the SP9, in Gargnano (Brescia), when the accident occurred. The 28-year-old’s motorcycle crashed into that of his brother, and the violent impact threw him off, making him fall into a ravine. The fall of about ten meters was fatal for the young man.
The two brothers were headed to Gargnano. The alarm was raised immediately, around 1:00 p.m., and rescuers arrived on site. However, reaching the 28-year-old was difficult. Despite the efforts of health workers, local police, firefighters and Gargnano officers, there was nothing that could be done for the young man. He was declared dead on the spot. To allow for recovery operations, the road was closed, and police officers carried out the necessary surveys.
Now all that remains is to reconstruct the exact dynamics that led to the tragic event.It appears that the 28-year-old lost control of his motorbike near a curve, crashing into his brother’s motorbike and was then thrown into a guardrail.
