Third consecutive world title for Max Cremona (edited by Roberto Lambri)

I F250 and F125 World Powerboat Championships ended in the best possible way with the domination of the Italian pilots. The Piacenza rider Max Cremona obtained his third consecutive title in the F250, while the Reggio Emilia native Mattia Calzolari won in the F125 despite some difficulties. In the F500, the Polish Marcin Zielinski continues to dominate, maintaining full points.

As his mother Iris says, “you only win after crossing the finish line”. This year too, Max Cremona swept away the competition from the first to the last run, from Jedovnice to Boretto Po, to finish in Znin. What more can we say about this home-grown champion? There are no words, only compliments to the nth degree. Also on the final podium were the English Turner (silver) and the Bulgarian Todorov (bronze).

F125

After last year’s European title, Mattia Calzolari has won the 2024 world title. His growth continues, and he deservedly sits on the world throne after having fought for a long time with ambitious riders such as the Englishman Mantripp, the Bulgarian Lyubanov (winner of the first heat in Znin) and the eternal Polish Sinoracky. Nicolò Darai (Effeci Racing) and Ghiraldi from Cremona also did well.

At home, the Polish Marcin Zielinski gave further proof of his crystalline class, leaving his opponents behind. With one stage to go, only the Slovakian Robert Hencz still has some small hope. The others have practically given up: from Jung to Havas, from Aabrams to Loukotka. And our Giuseppe Rossi? In Znin he finally broke the negative streak, collecting a good fourth place.
