As part of the Extraordinary Plan for the reduction of waiting lists and on the basis of the funding received from the regional health department, the ASP of Ragusa, starting from 1 July, announces that it has contracted with some contracted facilities n.7244 diagnostic services, of which: n.1022 Magnetic resonances; n. 834 CT scans; n. 5388 Ultrasounds.
“These are the services considered most critical, which we will process more quickly with the help of accredited personnel – says the General Director of the ASP, Giuseppe Drago -. Thanks to the funds allocated by the Region in the years 2022-23, we will make a greater number of slots available to users for bookings, thus ensuring timely access to care”.
Furthermore, since March 15, in compliance with a note from the Sicilian Region and the Departmental Decree n.212, the ASP of Ragusa has established a company team to allow citizens access to the so-called “protection paths”, i.e. alternative paths to “first access” specialist services in the event that the maximum waiting time at the institutional level is exceeded. At present, 137 requests have been received and processed, of which 126 were guaranteed within the expected time and 11 were rejected due to inappropriateness of the request.
