These are the words with which he introduced himself this morning Corrado Of Tarantodirector general of the Cesena Footballwho arrived at Juventus to fill a position that had been vacant until now and with a contract valid until 2026.
“The city – commented Di Taranto – is already responding greatly in terms of enthusiasm in a category that represents a new starting pointbut also of arrival. For this reason what awaits us will be a year of consolidation in a difficult tournament. I begin this journey confident in the fact that my professionalism and my way of being can allow a club that has already done so much to make a further ‘leap’ in quality”.
Taranto also spent important words on the fans: “They are giving confidence to the club, based on the great result just reached. They deserve thanks for the enthusiasm they are showing about the project so far. Passion is in the airyou can feel it. And the fact that we can all work together is a great starting point.”
Regarding his role, the DG reiterated his role as a liaison between the United States, where the management is based, and Romagna, where the club’s strictly operational arm operates: “I was asked to grow the structure. I have had contact with all the members of the social group and I have had the opportunity to realize the passion and enthusiasm that they put into this project. It was the starting point that led me to accept the proposal. And what’s more, allow me, even if perhaps it is less noticeable here, the company is really very present”.
Therefore it will be necessary to consolidate – and further expand – the club’s organizational chart: “All the figures already in place will stay, because they are working very well. I have already had a meeting with the employees and collaborators, to whom I asked to raise the bar a little further and everyone responded with enthusiasm. In the coming days we will strengthen the sector dedicated to communication and marketing”.
Finally, on the season now upon us: “A newly promoted team must have the objective of consolidate in the categoryeven more so in a difficult championship like Serie B, which includes important teams. In short, first of all we will have to save ourselves. Then, if something more were to come, we will all be happy to take it. My job is to know the territory and the people, evaluating all the opportunities. For example, we need to make the most of the structures, starting from the company headquarters, which must become a real point of reference. Even though we know our origins well, we will work to raise the level of the club”.
