06/30/2024 – It is the summer event most loved by children – and not only – and it is a Pesaro excellence that has a very consolidated tradition behind it which reaches its 37th edition in the year of Pesaro 2024.
From 3 to 12 July (9.30 pm), come back the Puppets Opera Festival with six appointments in the court of Palazzo Mazzolari Moscow which also hosts the space dedicated to Dario Fo and Franca Rame. The formula – which is also very popular with those who are no longer very young – is always the same and stages high quality performances with puppets, marionettes, puppets and feelings to be enjoyed with all the senses. On offer, music with fascinating stories, the taste of laughter and the good guys who defeat the lies of their antagonists, the immense pleasure of entertainment and animated theatre. Because Puppets live, perhaps, in the most important parts of our lives: just below the heart, between courage and fear, where you can hear a small drum beating. Their adventures take place on the meadow of desires, in the province of fantasy; many call them feelings. BOF is a nice feeling.
Alongside the 6 shows – a fixed stop in the calendar of tourist families visiting Pesaro -, the BOF 2024 program offers two ‘fantastic manual’ workshops on the afternoons of 3 and 10 July (ore 17, free entry).
A little gem in honor of Pesaro 2024: starting this year, BOF also has its own pin, an unmissable gadget where the classic crab stands out in the center of a red flower with white polka dots, perfectly in line with the new ‘flower Bof’ style graphics.
Tickets: free entry up to 3 years – €6 up to 10 years – €8 over 10 years. Advance sales and ticket office: Teatro Sperimentale (Wednesday-Saturday 5pm-7pm), on the day of the show the ticket office will reopen from 8pm until the start of the show. This year we also add online sales on vivaticket.it.

Opened Claudio Fiorenzo Clini: the BOF, now in its 37th edition, represents the cultural event that more than any other ties Arci to the city of Pesaro. A proposal that has been able to renew itself over the years, investing in a program of national and international productions of great level and quality. For this edition, which takes place in the prestigious setting of Pesaro 2024, the Burattini Opera Festival offers, with the artistic direction of Renzo Guerra, six shows aimed at children and families, giving continuity to this event awaited by the entire community but it is also a special edition highlighted by a new particularly creative graphica.
Ladies and gentlemen, take a look at the program now: profusion of Shapes Flowers Colors, or Flower Power Bof The true fantasy of the summer! That is, 6 evenings of peace, love and puppets. In (dis)order of appearance: monsters, vampires, thieves in love, ecological children, criminals & vigilantes, Pinocchio, a beautiful love story. Beautiful, funny, fascinating, nourishing stories. Necessary stories: these are the words of Renzo Guerra.
Elizabeth Ozino Caligaris underlined: it all started from the phrase that ‘BOF is the blossoming of ideas’ and so in the graphic design we followed the theme of blossoming and colour; the flowers are made with paper and then photographed precisely to best emphasise the creativity that animates the world of BOF.
The conclusions entrusted to Daniele Vimini who thanked Arci for maintaining the BOF tradition with its very high quality. I like to remember the venue – Palazzo Mazzolari Mosca – which hosts the court of Dario Fo and Franca Rame, where spectators will find a nice surprise which we will reveal shortly which will add an element of magic to an already rich and varied edition which the declared objective – already partly achieved in recent years – of raising the average age of the audience, to reach the adolescence range which is not so easy to reach when it comes to theater.
