THE EAGLE. The municipal council yesterday unanimously ratified the Province-Municipality program agreement for the reconstruction of the nursery and primary school of Pianola. The project involves the construction of the access roundabout to the school complex in question. «The intervention for the new school center of Pianola», explained the mayor Pierluigi Biondi«enjoys a Cipe and Cipess financing of approximately 3 million and 800 thousand euros, while the overall investment for the roundabout is equal to 437 thousand euros, of which 300 thousand are paid by the Municipality and 137 thousand euros of co-financing by the Province». The assembly also gave the green light to the 2024-2025 Economic and Financial Plan regarding the urban waste management service. «The document», observed the deputy mayor Raffaele Daniele«includes the expenditure already included in the 2024-2026 budget forecast for waste collection managed by our subsidiary Asm, setting it at 14 million and 437 thousand for the current year and at 14 million and 425 thousand for 2025». The rates of the Waste Tax (Tari) for the current year were also approved. «They will remain unchanged compared to 2023», commented Deputy Mayor Daniele, «and we plan to intervene on the tax lever for a potential reduction in rates in the three-year period 2025-2027, through the continuation of the work of our offices for the recovery of taxable surfaces, both domestic and non-domestic, not declared by taxpayers». The council also ratified the second change to the 2024-2026 budget forecast, already approved by the municipal council and made necessary to align the accounting tool following the allocation of the administrative surplus for an amount of 4 million euros for the replacement of the cables of the Gran Sasso cableway, decided by the same municipal council at the end of April. The exchange of buildings owned by Ater in via Giuseppe Cappa (formerly the “Campanella” nursery school) and in via De Gasperi with municipal properties was also authorized. Two orders of the day were also approved unanimously. One, presented by the councilor Katia Persichetti (FdI), asked for the commitment of the active administration so that the Municipality adheres to the Ethical Charter of women’s sport, a document which aims to overcome gender gaps and discrimination in sport, so as to allow the achievement of equality in this discipline and the self-determination of women and girls. Furthermore, the agenda aims to guarantee the presence in the area of structures and spaces for the exercise of sporting activities, encouraging their use by both genders. The other agenda, proposed by the councillors Lorenzo Rotellini (The Brave Eagle) and Paul Romano (L’Aquila Nuova), commits the mayor and the council «to take action to identify a suitable location for carrying out the activities conducted by the Provincial Center for Adult Education, suitable for hosting the members, evaluating the current location of the Musp of the Giovanni XXIII school, once the reconstruction works of the future headquarters have been completed”.
