The former slaughterhouse market in Molfetta is about to be renovated

MOLFETTA – The market of the former slaughterhouse in via Madonna dei Martiri in Molfetta will be renovated. The Municipality decided this due to environmental degradation which also affects consumption. This is one of the reasons for the redevelopment project of public spaces which are practically deficient today: unusable toilets, lack of decorum and cleanliness in the sales areas “Considered appropriate to support and encourage proposals to improve trade, especially when they have a positive impact – from many points of view – on the conditions and quality of the city – says the resolution -; Considering that in order to achieve the aforementioned objectives it is necessary to activate and invest in the execution of the following interventions on the Square:
construction of new toilets in a common area and easily accessible to all users of the square, specifically it would be appropriate to build them in the area where the tanks are located, since there they would have the right distance from each sales stand and would be easily usable;
reclamation of the entire market square of the former slaughterhouse and in particular of the space identified by a private individual in his request to allow the expansion of the area dedicated to commercial activity”.
