Miguel Oliveira’s future is still open, but today he clarified that despite Aprilia’s desire to count on his contribution, this currently does not involve the Noale structure, with Trackhouse responsible for studying the continuity of the Portuguese rider (or not).

Oliveira, present at Assen for another GP in the Netherlands, was confronted with Massimo Rivola’s words and his admitted desire to keep the number 88 in the team: “Yes. He told me the same thing, and it would be a shame to lose me. For various reasons we didn’t reach an agreement before, because of last year’s results, injuries, the difficult start of this season with the new bike…”

Regarding the producer’s decision to sign Jorge Martín immediately, it was an opportunity that could not be discussed, as he explained, specifying that it was currently in the hands of Justin Marks and Davide Brivio to discuss whether he would remain with the North American team:

– Obviously, having the opportunity to sign the rider who leads the championship, there is no one who can compete with that, but it would be very sad to lose me, but it is no longer in the hands of Aprilia, it will be with Trackhouse and as you know Davide [Team Manager di Trackhouse] he’s talking to me and Raúl [Fernández]. Nothing has been decided, so let’s see and wait if we have anything more to say in the coming weeks.
